Installation.
QR and manual install steps for iPhone, Samsung and Pixel.
Open Settings → Cellular (or Mobile Service) → Add eSIM → Use QR Code, then point the camera at the QR in your email. Label the new line something like 'Holiday' when prompted.
Keep 'Default Line' on your home SIM for calls and iMessage, and set 'Cellular Data' to the new eSIM when you arrive.
Open Settings → Connections → SIM manager → Add eSIM → Scan QR code. Once it downloads, the eSIM appears in your SIM list.
On arrival, set Mobile data to the eSIM in SIM manager and switch data roaming on for that line only.
Open Settings → Network & internet → SIMs → Add SIM → Download a saved eSIM / Use QR code and scan the code from your email.
After install, choose the eSIM for mobile data and enable roaming for it when you land.
Every order email also includes an SM-DP+ address and activation code. In the same Add eSIM screen, choose 'Enter details manually' and paste them in.
Tip: if the QR is on the same phone you're installing to, use manual entry — a phone can't scan its own screen.
A QR profile installs once, onto one device. If you get a new phone before travelling and haven't used the plan, contact support and we'll reissue the profile.
