Also check your phone is unlocked. A phone tied to a carrier contract may block other networks — your carrier can confirm and unlock it, usually free.

Dial *#06# on your phone. If an EID number appears in the list, your phone has an eSIM. No EID = no eSIM support.
Two exceptions to know.
Phones bought in mainland China often ship without eSIM even for supported models, and some carrier-locked US phones restrict it. When in doubt, run the *#06# check.
